  Analysis of crime pattern of vehicle theft shows that Suzuki Mehran and Toyota Corolla are favorite brands of car jackers. Citizens owning these makes of vehicles may ensure extra vigilance while visiting markets at vulnerable spots. .  
  Tips  
  An unlocked vehicle with a key in ignition is an open invitation to any thief regardless of any anti-theft device you may be using. You should always secure your vehicle , even if you are parking it for "Just a minute". Do this by:
 


Removing the car key from ignition.
Locking all doors and completely closing all windows.
Secure your car using locks.
Using emergency brakes when parking.
Parking the vehicle in garage if available and locking both the vehicle and the garage.
Removing the ignition fuse or coil of the vehicle and thus disabling it, if it is parked in the open and is to remain unattended for a long time.
Always park in well light areas.
Remember where you parked your car.
